A one-off job that saves a lot of trouble later
We set up your Managed VPS with us and move one website or one mail domain (up to 10 GB) from your current host. Further sites, domains, databases or mailboxes, data over 10 GB and moves to other providers are quoted separately. The aim is a server that is secure on the day it goes live, not one that is tidied up after the first incident.
What we do
Operating system installation and hardening, firewall rules, SSH key authentication with password login disabled, automatic security updates, SSL certificates with automatic renewal, the same application installed on the new server as on the old one, and monitoring. Server backup is not included automatically — it is available as a separate line.
Migration without a long outage
We copy your data to the new server first, test everything on it while the old one is still live, lower the DNS records ahead of the switch, and only then move the traffic across. Mail is moved with the archives intact.
The VPS itself
£75 covers the setup and migration work. The monthly cost of the server is separate — see our Managed VPS plans. Moves to another provider’s server, code changes and fixing problems that already exist on the old host are quoted separately. No VAT is charged — we are not VAT-registered. If we become VAT-registered, VAT at the applicable rate will be added from that date.
Related
The monthly cost of the server itself is separate: mail, web hosting, a custom server or an AI assistant server.
