A new computer that is ready to work
A new PC or Mac out of the box is rarely ready for real work. We take care of the first day for you: initial configuration and user accounts, all pending system updates, security settings, the software you actually use, your email set up in a proper mail client, and your printer and scanner connected and tested.
Your files from the old machine
On request we transfer documents, photographs, browser bookmarks and mail archives from your previous computer, so you carry on where you left off. Large collections take longer, and we will agree the time with you beforehand.
What the price covers
£60 covers the setup work described above on one computer. Software licences, subscriptions and any hardware you need are charged separately at cost, and we will always tell you the price before buying anything.
Where the work is done
In our workshop, or at your home or office as an engineer visit — the visit is charged at the rate for your area.
