Your Umbrel server, set up and working

Umbrel turns a small home server into your own private cloud, but it still has to be put on the network correctly, secured and connected to your devices. That is what this service covers.

What the £120 covers

Basic setup: unpacking and connecting the unit, network configuration and a fixed address on your router, storage and disk checks, the initial Umbrel apps, remote access set up safely, your computers and phones connected, and a walkthrough so your family or your team know how to use it.

More than the basics

Some applications are a project in themselves. Nextcloud, a mail server, VPN for a whole office or a media library with existing collections are quoted separately according to what is involved. We will tell you the price before starting.

The device and delivery

This is a setup service only. The server itself is bought separately, and delivery from us to you is charged at cost. If you have already bought an Umbrel elsewhere, we are happy to set that one up.

Where the work is done

Remotely wherever possible, or at your address as an engineer visit charged at the rate for your area.
