What OpenClaw is
OpenClaw is an open-source, self-hosted gateway that puts an AI agent behind the channels your team already uses — WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Signal, Discord and others. It runs on your own server rather than in somebody else's product, so your correspondence and documents stay where you put them.
Deployed safely, or not deployed at all
An agent with access to a terminal and a filesystem is exactly as dangerous as it sounds if it is installed casually. Every deployment we do runs on an isolated machine with no other business data on it, behind a firewall, reachable only over key-based access. The assistant answers only the phone numbers you allowlist, on a dedicated number rather than your personal one, and anything that sends, pays, publishes or deletes waits for a person to approve it.
What the two options include
Remote — £750. Deployment on our managed VPS or on your own server, security hardening, two channels connected, model selection with spending limits, the agent's workspace and instructions configured for your business, one hour of training, and fourteen days of support afterwards.
On-site London — £1,650. Everything above, installed at your office, with half a day of training for the team and thirty days of support. Inside the M25; elsewhere by arrangement.
What you pay besides our fee
The server: our managed VPS — £45 per month for an 8 GB machine, or £95 for the 16 GB specification the OpenClaw documentation recommends once several channels are in use — or your own hardware if you prefer. The AI model: your own account with Anthropic or OpenAI, typically £5–30 per month for a small team — you hold the key and see the bill. And a second SIM for the assistant's number.
Or on hardware you own outright
A VPS is not the only option. An Umbrel Home has 16 GB of memory — the specification recommended for this — and Umbrel now list AI assistants among its intended uses. Deploy on one of those and there is no monthly hosting fee at all: the device is bought once, from £480, and lives on your own network. Our deployment fee is the same either way. We will say which of the two suits you before you buy anything.
What we do not sell
An autonomous AI employee. This is a tool that drafts, summarises, triages and reminds, under defined access and human approval. We would rather set that expectation now than after the invoice.
